Eleventh Element were contracted in early 2021 to undertake a full refurbishment of this original span flat on Blackheath’s famous Cator Estate.

The apartment hadn’t been touched for nearly 50 years so we completely stripped the property back to it’s concrete substrate. We reconfigured the kitchen and bathrooms to maximise the potential of the space.

We wanted to stay true to this property’s Mid Century heritage so the interior design and choice of finish was taken into heavy consideration with an onus on clean, modern, linear and functional design. We created a fantastic, bright, airy and welcoming space which stays true to its 1960’s history. The modern yet classic kitchen, clinical and well laid out bathrooms and sympathetic decoration and flooring will certainly stand the test of time for another 50 years.
